Mission

This blog is The Event of the year. It’s bigger than the Big Bang Theory. It’s taller than Two and a Half Men, and hopefully after all the $#!@ my dad tells me, I’ll be able to make this blog, a place where even a Monk or The Mentalist or even The Good Wife will constantly visit. A place where, if you’re bored in The Office, Undercovers or visiting 30 Rock, you’ll want to visit to see the latest televisions news, opinions, reviews and polls. Thanks and welcome to our Community.

ABC Gives "Body of Proof" a Premiere Date

Dana Delany's new drama "Body of Proof" will premiere Tuesday at 10 p.m. March 29, replacing "Detroit 1-8-7."

It's unclear how many episodes ABC has to air. If it's the typical 13 episode order, then the show would run into the summer season. However, one thing is clear, "Detroit 1-8-7's" chances of renewal are looking slim to none.

Here is the official press release from ABC.

NEW ABC DRAMA “BODY OF PROOF” TO DEBUT TUESDAY, MARCH 29, 2011

The Series Will Air Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m., Following the 18-Episode Run of “Detroit 1-8-7

“Body of Proof,” the new one-hour drama starring Dana Delany, will premiere TUESDAY, MARCH 29(10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) is a brilliant neurosurgeon whose world is turned upside down when an accident puts an end to her time in the operating room. In her new career as a Medical Examiner, she is determined to solve the puzzle of who or what has killed the victims. Along the way, Megan finds that their lives and the lessons they hold can be applied to her own personal journey of redemption and forgiveness.

“Body of Proof” stars Dana Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt, Jeri Ryan as Dr. Kate Murphy, John Carroll Lynch as Detective Bud Morris, Nicholas Bishop as Peter Dunlop, Sonja Sohn as Detective Samantha Baker, Geoffrey Arend as Dr. Ethan Gross and Windell D. Middlebrooks as Dr. Curtis Brumfield.

The series was created by Christopher Murphey and executive-produced by Murphey, Matthew Gross and Sunil Nayar. “Body of Proof” is produced by ABC Studios.

Cancellation Watch: Which of your Favorite Shows are Nearing Cancellation

Fringe
Why it's in Danger: This season, "Fringe" has fallen below a 2.0 adult 18-49 rating on several occasions. Plus, a move to Fridays never bodes well for a show.
Saving Grace: If it can maintain around a 2.0 on Fridays, it might survive to next season.

No Ordinary Family
Why it's in Danger: Since the super hero drama's strong premiere, it's steadily been declining in the key demographic.
Saving Grace: Most of ABC's news shows aren't doing well, and the network won't cancel all of their new shows.

The Event
Why it's in Danger: "The Event" premiered with a 3.6 adult 18-49 rating. It's last new episode garnered a 1.7 18-49 rating. The show is sinking fast.
Saving Grace: Much like ABC, none of NBC's new shows have been big hits, and NBC is doing all it can to make "The Event" a permanent fixture on its schedule.

Human Target
Why it's in Danger: Its second season premiere only saw a 1.8 adult 18-49 rating.
Saving Grace: FOX has faith in the show, giving it the post Idol spot on Wednesdays.

CSI: NY/CSI: Miami
Why it's in Danger: Both of these CSI spinoffs have seen their ratings drop since they both moved to new time-slots.
Saving Grace: CBS won't cancel both, but look for one of them to be gone next season.

Detroit 1-8-7
Why it's in Danger: Since its premiere it's consistently received below a 2.0 adult 18-49 rating.
Saving Grace: Most of ABC's news shows aren't doing well, and the network won't cancel all of their new shows.

Chase
Why it's in Danger: A 1.2 adult 18-49 rating. Need I say more.
Saving Grace: It's sure to be cancelled unless the midseason move to Wednesdays does wonders.
