Mission

This blog is The Event of the year. It’s bigger than the Big Bang Theory. It’s taller than Two and a Half Men, and hopefully after all the $#!@ my dad tells me, I’ll be able to make this blog, a place where even a Monk or The Mentalist or even The Good Wife will constantly visit. A place where, if you’re bored in The Office, Undercovers or visiting 30 Rock, you’ll want to visit to see the latest televisions news, opinions, reviews and polls. Thanks and welcome to our Community.

NBC Cancels...

"UnderCovers" was cancelled by NBC today. This comes as no surprise. Last night the spy drama only managed a 1.3 adult 18-49 rating.

The next three scheduled episodes will air as planned. No word if the remaining three yet to be scheduled will see the light of day.

This is now the second show in my original "Top Five Shows to Watch this Season" to be cancelled. The first being "Lone Star," now long forgotten.

Fixing NBC's Schedule

Things aren't looking good over at NBC. All of their new shows have drastically dropped from their premieres and most of their returning shows aren't doing so well either. So how can NBC help itself?

First, cancel "The Apprentice." It's atrocious ratings are really bringing down NBC's 18-49 average, and the networks best night of the week-Thursday.

Finally, they should mix up their schedule. "Undercovers" might pick up some of "Chuck's" fans if it aired Mondays at 9 p.m. "The Event" might do better if it aired during a less competitive timeslot, such as Tuesdays at 10p.m.

From there, "Parenthood" should move to 10p.m. Wednesdays, hopefully gaining an audience from "SVU" fans. The "LA" version of "Law & Order" would then move to Thursdays at 10p.m.

Here is my suggestion at how to improve their schedule.

MONDAY
8p.m.- Chuck
9p.m.- Undercovers
10p.m.- Chase

TUESDAY
8p.m.- The Biggest Loser
10p.m.- The Event

WEDNESDAY
8p.m.- Minute to Win it
9p.m.- Law & Order: SVU
10p.m.- Parenthood

THURSDAY
8p.m.- Community
8:30p.m.- 30 Rock
9p.m.- The Office
9:30p.m.- Parks and Recreation (Because Outsourced is just really awful)
10p.m.- Law & Order: LA

NBC Hands out more Full Season Orders

"Chuck" and "Chase" have both been given full season orders. "Chuck" will now have 24 episodes this season and "Chase" will have 22.

NBC also ordered four additional scripts for "Undercovers."

This is surprising for both "Chase" and "Undercovers" due to both their latest 18-49 ratings being below 1.7.

Wednesday's Overnight Ratings: 10p.m. hour drops

Last night the entire 10p.m. hour took a hit in the ratings. Law & Order: LA fell from its premiere adult 18-49 rating of 3.1 to a 2.4 rating, however it still won the hour. Undercovers also fell another tenth of a rating point to a 1.5 rating.

Cougar Town was able to rise two tenths of a rating point to a 3.1 rating.

Below are the over night ratings. For more info, click here.

Cancellation Already Looming

It's only the second week into the new television season, but several new shows are already in danger of cancellation. Below is the list of who's in danger, and why they might be saved

1. Undercovers
Why it's in danger: Only premiered with a 2.0 in the 18-49 key demos, but that dropped to a 1.6 this week. Even with J.J. Abrams name attached to it, Undercovers chances of a full season pick up already seem very unlikely.
Saving Grace: Nothing, unless people start watching, which doesn't seem likely.

2. The Whole Truth
Why it's in danger: ABC's new legal drama started off in worse shape with a 1.6 in the demos, and dropped even further this past week.
Saving Grace: This isn't the only new show that's doing poorly for ABC, and I doubt the network wants all of its shows to fail.

3. My Generation
Why it's in danger: This ABC show also only premiered with a 1.6, and if the trends continue, will most likely drop further tonight.
Saving Grace: This isn't the only new show that's doing poorly for ABC, and I doubt the network wants all of its shows to fail.

4. Detroit 187
Why it's in danger: It's been getting a 2.2 in the key demos.
Saving Grace: It's been getting a 2.2 in the key demos, and for new dramas on ABC, that's looking good.

5. The Defenders
Why it's in danger: Out of all the new CBS shows The Defenders has the lowest ratings in the key demos with a 2.5.
Saving Grace: A 2.5 really isn't that bad. It's not great, but it's not bad.

6. Outlaw
Why it's in danger: In its time-slot premiere, it scored a 1.0. Granted it's on a Friday night, but that's not even good enough for the slowest weeknight of television.
Saving Grace: It's on Friday, but that's a stretch.
